Vernon was my first cousin--eventhough we did not see each other often, he was always happy when we did meet. As you all know, he was a very talented musician and played with the Krackerjacks for many years. Anyone in the Mid South was well acquainted with that group. Last saw him at our aunt's funeral in Lexington and only wished we could have had more time together. I know he is still playing his saxophone and enjoying a healthy body.
