Billly was an unassuming and gentle person. He came from a poor family but always knew he could improve his life if he exceled academically; so he sat our from and early age to ensure he did that. He didn't consider himself smart and studied, studied, studied. As a result, he made good grades and was alwalys on the honor roll. Many times when we talked, he advised me that he was going back over the assignments from the past to refresh his memory, even weeks before a test or major exam. He read the text books two or three times. I was contantly amazed since I knew his level of drive and achievement was far beyond mine. Consequently, I always thought of Billy as a genius. I hope to see my friend in heaven when all mental and physical struggles are gone and no "study" is necessary. Billy, you were a great guy his on earth and an inspiration!
